Refresh Mentoring is a non-denominational, non-profit Christian ministry that seeks to invite and equip every woman to experience fresh life in Jesus through healthy mentoring relationships. Refresh mentoring reaches real women, empowering them to be who God has designed them to be as they live intentionally and Biblically. Free training, coaching, and resources are available to equip women of all ages and walks of life. These tools and resources will be most beneficial when they are used in the context of life-on-life discipleship. With families more spread out and living in a variety of contexts mentoring relationships are more crucial than ever. We no longer have “a village” to help raise our families and encourage spiritual growth. We believe when women intentionally invest in other women, as Titus 2:3-5 and 2 Timothy 2:2 help model, the whole body of Christ becomes more beautiful and
the Church is strengthened.
We Believe
The entire Bible is the inspired and inerrant Word of God
There is one God in three persons — Father, Son and Holy Spirit
Jesus is fully God and fully man
The Holy Spirit lives in all believers to teach, empower and guide and is given as a seal of our inheritance in Christ Jesus
Forgiveness of sins was purchased once and for all by Jesus’ death on the cross
Salvation by grace alone, through faith alone, in Jesus Christ alone
The one true church, the body of Christ, consisting of all believers
Obedience to our Lord’s command to lead people of all nations to faith in Christ and to grow in Christ-likeness
Christ’s personal return to establish His Kingdom on earth
Hi, I’m Lisa!
Many years ago I was challenged to write my life mission statement which has become a blueprint for my life and for the legacy I hope to leave.
~”To be a life-giving person who helps others experience the abundant life found only in Christ.”
I’ve prayed God would help me be a bright light whether serving 13 years on staff with Cru, loving my husband, raising three children, leading a large women’s ministry at a local church or utilizing my design degree. (Including those not so glamorous times of cleaning bathrooms or sweeping a warehouse.)
With a surrendered heart toward God, a vibrant love and connection with women in our city, along with decades of mentoring experience, I believe I am in a season where I have the most to give.
Being convinced my most significant years of ministry are ahead, in July 2018 I took a step of faith and quit my design job to found this ministry called Refresh Mentoring. Refresh wants to invite and equip every woman to experience fresh life in Jesus through healthy mentoring relationships.
…a movement of women
…standing on the truth found in God’s Word
…loving and encouraging each other
…so that each woman becomes all that God has created her to be
So, it’s with an open heart for God to work, open hands to serve and an open invitation for you to join with us. Refresh wants to help you establish deep roots, grow in the discovery of who you are and walk alongside of you as you live out the full and meaningful life Christ offers.
Words to describe Lisa:
Laughter, Hospitality, Honesty & Joy!
I have been spiritually investing in the lives of women for over 34 years. My greatest delight is creating environments where women can grow and thrive in their relationship with Christ.
I was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas and graduated from Texas Tech University with a degree in Interior Design. After graduation, I joined the staff of CRU where I met my husband Reid. Together we have spent 13 years on staff with CRU ministering to college students, 3 years at a local church in San Antonio, then moved to Omaha where I had the privilege of serving as the Director of Women’s Ministry at Christ Community Church for 6 years. Reid is starting his 19th year as the Adult Discipleship Pastor. We have 3 grown children, two of which are married, and have 4 amazing grandchildren.
The Lord continues to stir my heart as I trust and follow Him in this mentoring ministry called Refresh!
Hi, I’m Terah!
My heart comes alive as I study God’s Word alongside women, discovering more of God’s character, and have opportunities to
encourage women to use the gifts and abilities God’s given them in the communities they are in.
I grew up in Spencer, Nebraska and graduated from Wayne State with a degree in Exercise Science. While at college God moved my heart toward ministry as he worked in amazing ways through a student led ministry of Cru on our campus. I met Ethan at Wayne State and we were married in 2003. We spent the first 12 years of our life together on staff with Cru working on college campuses around the state of Nebraska. When Ethan accepted the position of CEO for Grad Resources, a ministry to graduate students throughout the nation, our family moved to Texas. There I had the opportunity to be primarily at home with our 4 kids and also serve in leadership for the women’s ministry at our home church in McKinney.
God continues to grow our hearts for Him and His people and has brought us back to Nebraska to serve.
I have loved watching God work through Refresh Mentoring and the people we have partnered with in ministry.

Hi, I’m Rochelle!
The Lord has wired me to love people deeply and intentionally. I am quick to support and serve when needed, and I love to give whatever I can! I am a feeler and want to watch others grow and be all who the Lord has made them to be.
I grew up in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and graduated from Augustana University with a degree in elementary and special education. I adventured to Omaha, Nebraska in search of a change of scenery and ended up coming to know Jesus as my Lord and Savior! I had the opportunity to walk alongside multiple mentors and fellow disciples of Jesus as I learned what it meant to not just follow God with my actions, but my whole heart.
I taught in Omaha Public Schools for 5 years and met and married my husband Jake within that time. Jake joyfully leads Providence Church College Community (PC3) in Omaha!
Over the last 10 years God has been equipping my heart to love others deeply, walk with them through the joys and sorrows and how to lead them back to Jesus.
I have been blessed to be able to step onto the staff team with Refresh in 2024 and look forward to what God has in store!
Words to describe Rochelle:
Intentional, Listener, Compassionate, Merciful
Hi, I’m Kelsey!
The Lord has given me a heart for His word and His people.
I was born in California and raised in Iowa. I graduated from Northwestern College, where I ran track and cross-country, with degrees in Political Science and Public Relations. While in college I met Justin, and we got married in 2021. For the past few years, I have been serving alongside Justin as the Associate Director of the Salt Company, a college ministry in Lincoln. Most recently, I completed my Masters in Theological Studies online through Midwestern Baptist Seminary in Kansas City, Missouri. I love opportunities to walk with women as they study God’s Word and wrestle with how it applies to their life here and now. Some of my favorite ways to connect with others are reading through something together, going paddleboarding, making a meal together, or going for early morning walks with my dog, Winston.
I’m beyond excited to be serving women as part of the Refresh Mentoring team!
